Yurigahama is a seasonal, “phantom” white sandbar that emerges only at low tide from spring through autumn. Its fine, star-shaped coral sands and emerald-clear waters shift daily in shape, position, and size—disappearing entirely when the tide returns.
Highlights
Phantom appearance: Visible only during specific low tides; tours depart from Okaneku Beach via glass‑bottom boat, kayak, or jet ski.
Unique star sands: Tiny star-shaped grains said to bring good luck if you collect as many as your age.
Snorkeling & wildlife: Clear waters, vibrant reefs, and high likelihood of seeing tropical fish and sea turtles en route.
Highly photogenic: Sand ripple patterns, “floating” beach against turquoise sea—favored by photographers and newlyweds .
