Overview
Located along the scenic Kinko Bay, Kagoshima City Aquarium—also known as Io World—is one of Kyushu’s premier marine attractions. The aquarium showcases over 30,000 marine creatures across 500 species, including whale sharks, dolphins, and vibrant coral reef fish. The highlight is the massive Kuroshio Tank, home to a variety of migratory fish that swim within the Kuroshio Current.
