Nestled next to Kirishima Shrine’s grand torii, Kirishima Folk Art Village is a sprawling wooden complex in the traditional shinden‑zukuri style. The main hall showcases Yakusugi cedar craftsmanship and pottery, while workshops let visitors experience hands‑on ceramics. There’s also a Kusata‑don sweets shop, a café, foot baths, and scenic walking paths—making it a multi‑sensory cultural stop. Admission is free.
